Ryanair to use Chinese planes

Ryanair renewed its fleet includes Chinese planes

Ryanair has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC acronym in English) for the development of C919 aircraft, reports' Bloomberg '.

Ryanair will share his experience and knowledge to help the Chinese manufacturer to develop the new C919 airliner with capacity for 200 passengers, which would allow the Irish low cost airline "reduce costs and continue lowering rates."

"We are pleased that there is now a real alternative to Boeing and Airbus, we are seriously interested in developing a 200-seat version of the C919 aircraft and we look forward to its commercial release since 2018," assured the President Ryanair, Michael O'Leary.

Ryanair, which will have a fleet of more than 300 Boeing airplanes in 2013, holds talks with U.S. manufacturer Boeing and COMAC for a renewal order at least 200 planes.

The manager said that this announcement does not affect "her long relationship with Boeing," company that supplies its B737. "We look forward to working closely with COMAC to promote greater competition among aircraft manufacturers, which can only be good for promoting competition between airlines and reducing the cost of air travel for consumers,"
