PPP Canada Publishes water and wastewater study

Taking a cue from the high number of applications received under the water and wastewater category of the P3 Canada Fund and from the growing need for expedited upgrades of these public services, in particular at the municipal level, PPP Canada has released a study on the applicability of the P3 model to these types of projects. "With Canada's growing population increasing demands on its core infrastructure services and operations, it is important to analyze alternative solutions to meet these growing needs," says John McBride, CEO of PPP Canada. The study provides an overview of the water, wastewater and biosolids sectors in Canada; an assessment of the P3 potential of water, wastewater and biosolids projects; and a summary of potential P3 impediments and opportunities.
